Never Gets Old

Terry Tessary won the Missouri Senior Amateur Championship last week at St Louis Country Club for the 4th time. St. Louis Country Club has a storied history by hosting the 1947 U.S. Open, 1960 U.S. Amateur and the 1971 U.S. Women’s Amateur.

Going into the second round of play Tessary trailed former USGA Mid –Amateur Champion and Walker-Cup member Jim Holtgrieve by one shot. However with a strong finish to the house by making eagle on the 15th and birdies on 16 & 17 Tessary pulled away to a four shot victory over Holtgrieve. This was the 4th time in the last five years that Tessary took home the top honors.

The event was a huge success and we are looking for another great event next year when the event goes to Old Warson.

Until I see you on the first tee,

Scott
