The golf season has almost arrived; I feel it getting closer all the time. The reason that I feel this way is because of a couple of facts: the Kansas City and St Louis Golf Shows are happening this month and that is usually the kickoff to get the golfers’ minds back on the game. Also with the PGA Tour now in full swing we’re seeing the best players in the world battle it out each week. Oh, and entries recently opened up for our popular Porto Cima 4 Ball. We are inside of 60 days for the first round of this event! With that being said, things here at the MGA are really starting to pick up and I am ready to see people out playing the great game of golf!
At the beginning of the New Year we announced the 2015 Missouri Golf Association and the Missouri Women’s Golf Association Championship Schedule. On behalf of the Board of Directors and the staff of the Missouri Golf Association, we are pleased to announce our 2015 MGA Schedule of Events. You will see that again this year we have an outstanding list of MGA member clubs that have agreed to host these prestigious events and Championships! Starting at 9:00 a.m. on March 10th, you may begin entering the 2015 events. Please let us know if you have any questions by contacting the MGA office. Another item that makes me feel the season getting closer is the excitement and the talk of the Champions Tour Event, The Legends at Big Cedar Lodge, launching their ticket sales and volunteer opportunities. The event last year was a huge success, and I can only think that it will be even bigger and better in 2015. The dates of the event are April 22-26.
